Eng. Mohammed Imlaihat and Eng. Abdalkarim Ka’abneh are both graduates from the Birzeit University with  B.Sc. degree in computer systems engineering in 2007and  2008 respectively. They both participated in the Digital Arabic Content Contest the was sponsored by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and organized by the Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI). The project has passed the two stages of the evaluation and attained the first place that qualifies them for incubation at PICTI.

Their winning project is a software tool for Arabic optical character recognition (OCR) as a modular system that processes and receives images of typewritten Arabic text, numbers, images, and tables, segments them into their root letters and re-assembles the letters into editable text in a word processing document format with high speed and performance in comparison to  existing systems in the commercial market.
